"Hog Scraper"

Hog Scraper

This is a painting of an antique candlestick that was passed down to us from relatives. The title of the painting derives from an alternative use of the candlestick. It was reported that it doubled on the farm as a scraper used to scrape the bristles off hogs after they were slaughtered. When first we saw it, some hog bristles were still stuck to the base of it.
