SPOTH!

I haven’t done a SPOTH for a long time, so here is a new one.

In case you have not been reading this blog for a while, a SPOTH is a Strange Plant Of The Hour. You see, my son keeps and raises strange, sometimes dangerous, some times man-eating, plants down in our basement, and on occasion I will post photos of them.

Here is a photo of today’s SPOTH.

Long stringy plant

OK. So what? It’s a stringy clingy little plant. But check out the tiny little flower ( highlighted in the red circle below)

Strange flower

Yikes. It has gecko fingers in the middle of it. Or maybe it just ate a gecko, and the lizard is still trying to get out.

The base of the plant is pretty strange too.

Bulbous base in pot

You probably can’t read the label, but it says “Euphorbia globosa”. So, it’s a globby plant?

But that ain’t nuthin’. This one is the baby. Here’s the Momma Glob

Lots of globs

If that isn’t strange enough…. well I’ll go take another look down there. You never know what you are going to find.

(If I don’t come back up, call the Mounties).
